Living with anxiety can feel exhausting. Your nervous system adapted to keep you safe. It helped you succeed. But now it is working overtime, and you are paying the price.

How we treat it
Anxiety is treated differently
depending on where it comes from
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Names the thought patterns that keep anxiety running, and works on what to do with them.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Eases the fight with anxious feelings so they take up less room, and focuses on moving toward what matters.
EMDR
For anxiety with a root in something older. Works on the memory underneath rather than the symptom on top.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Practical nervous system regulation. What to do in the ten minutes a spiral actually starts.
Not sure
Is this anxiety, or a hard few months?
Eight questions, about two minutes. It uses the GAD-7, the same short screening tool clinicians use. You will get a score and a few things worth reading next. No email needed.

FAQs
Questions about anxiety therapy
How do I know if it is anxiety or just stress?
Stress usually has a cause and lifts when the cause does. Anxiety tends to outlast the thing that started it, and shows up in your body and your sleep even when nothing is wrong. If you are not sure where you sit, the check-in above takes about two minutes.
Is therapy for anxiety actually effective?
The evidence is strong. Approaches like CBT, ACT and EMDR all have solid research behind them for anxiety, though no approach works for everyone. What matters most is the fit between you and your therapist.
How long do sessions last?
Fifty five minutes, usually weekly to begin with.
What should I bring to my first session?
Just what is on your mind. Your therapist will take some history and you will set goals together.
Is what I share in therapy confidential?
Yes, with the narrow legal exceptions every clinician is bound by, which your therapist will walk you through in your first session.
Do you accept insurance?
Our whole team is in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO plans. Some of our clinicians are also paneled with United Healthcare, Cigna and Aetna. Coverage varies from therapist to therapist.
