What brings people in

Depression, anxiety and burnout have a way of showing up at home first

There is no moment anymore when the workday actually stops. It thins out around nine or ten, and you keep half an eye on your phone through dinner, through the weekend, through the parts of your life that used to be yours. You are still delivering, which is what makes it hard to name.

Where you notice it is at home. You come through the door with nothing left, and the person waiting for you gets whatever is on the other side of a day you have not put down. Conversations get shorter. Small things land harder than they should.

Plenty of people come here saying some version of I want to work on myself so I am better in this. That is individual work, not couples work, and it is one of the better reasons to start. So is a breakup you are still carrying, or a divorce that is technically finished and not finished at all.

Not sure

If you want a starting point that is not a phone call

The depression check-in and the anxiety check-in each take about two minutes and use the same screening tools clinicians use. You get a score and a few things worth reading next. No email needed.

Where we are

We are on Green Street

700 North Green, a few blocks north of Fulton Market. If you work down here it is probably closer than your gym.

Marra is deliberately small, and every clinician is licensed and in real supervision. That is the reason we can tell you who is right for what instead of handing you a directory and wishing you luck.

If River North or Wicker Park is closer to you, start there instead.
